OD-022380, Central Line Insertion Education for Physician Residents and Advanced Care Practitioners (Effective June 2, 2017)
The OnDemand course is for all practitioners who place, care for, and remove central lines. The presentations incorporate the steps of the central line bundle, as required by MedStar Health policy and recommended by Joint Commission and CDC for reduction of central line associated bloodstream infections.
These modules are a prerequisite to the central line simulation course. A learner must complete all the online modules prior to arrival at the simulation session, or the learner will not be permitted to test The online modules can be viewed any time prior to a simulation testing session, but it is recommended to review the modules again before testing.
